As Manager, Operational Risk & PMO, led operational risk for Barclays Africa alongside PMO responsibilities—working with global teams on Operational risk frameworks, operational governance, and project management to improve processes, support compliance, and deliver critical initiatives across international teams.

Phaniraj Jaligama spent over four years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he initially joined in PMO and Business Operations and later progressed to the role of Senior Manager – Business Finance & PMO. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing business operations, financial planning, project governance, revenue reconciliation, margin management, and team management. He also led business finance operations for TCS China, contributing to financial oversight and operational alignment across global programs. Through this experience, he developed a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, which significantly shaped his strategic perspective and future career path. His leadership and operational expertise played a key role in driving efficiency, strengthening financial governance, and supporting large-scale enterprise programs.

Focused on operational excellence, business process optimization, and strategic support for organizational initiatives—working with leadership to streamline operations, lift productivity, and support high-quality service delivery.

Phaniraj later joined TIBCO as a Senior Manager in Business Operations and successfully progressed to the role of Director – Business Operations. Over the course of his tenure, he played a critical role in driving operational strategy, managing cross-functional teams, and improving business performance through efficient operational frameworks. He was also responsible for driving the operations strategy for the education business of TIBCO products across the APAC region. His work focused on aligning operational processes with organizational goals while enabling sustainable growth and leadership-driven initiatives.
